Seattle woman attacked and bitten by assailant
A woman was hospitalized following a violent and unprovoked attack in downtown Seattle on September 18. The victim, 36-year-old Diana Gonzalez, reported that she was walking during a break from work when she was targeted by Kamilia Chadli, 36.
According to witnesses and reports, Chadli allegedly shouted racial insults, threw trash, and spat on Gonzalez before dragging her to the ground. During the struggle, Chadli bit a one-inch piece of flesh from Gonzalez’s forehead and spat it into a storm drain. Hotel employees attempted to intervene and eventually a Court Marshal detained the suspect.
Gonzalez required a skin graft to treat the injury and faces permanent scarring. Chadli has been arrested and faces a charge of second-degree felony assault.
