Assault of woman in downtown Seattle
Overview
On September 18, 2026, 36-year-old Diana Gonzalez was the victim of a violent, unprovoked attack in downtown Seattle near 3rd Avenue and Marion Street.
Reports indicate that the suspect, Kamilia Chadli, escalated a confrontation by using racial and homophobic slurs, throwing trash, and spitting on Gonzalez. During the struggle, Chadli allegedly pulled Gonzalez to the ground and bit a one-inch piece of flesh from her forehead. Investigators noted that a piece of the victim's flesh was found in a nearby storm drain.
Gonzalez required medical treatment, including a skin graft, and is expected to suffer permanent scarring. Chadli was apprehended following interventions by witnesses and hotel employees, and was subsequently detained by a Court Marshal. Chadli has been charged with felony second-degree assault and is being held on $150,000 bail.
