Sebeș expands electric bus fleet with 18.5 million lei investment

The Sebeș City Hall has signed a contract exceeding 18.5 million lei to expand its non-polluting public transport fleet. The investment includes the procurement of seven new electric buses and the installation of ten charging stations, consisting of seven slow-charging and three rapid-charging units.

This initiative is part of the ‘Development of Sustainable Urban Mobility in Sebeș Municipality’ project, funded through the ‘Centrum Region’ 2021–2027 program. Once completed, the city will operate a total of 16 electric buses acquired through two separate projects over recent years. The new vehicles will be equipped with Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and e-ticketing solutions to digitalize public transport services.
