Secretaría de Salud promotes organ donation through recreational walk

The Secretariat of Health, through the State Transplant Center (Ceetra), organized the 4K recreational walk ‘Por Amor a la Vida 2026’ to promote a culture of organ and tissue donation. Approximately 500 people gathered at the Ciudad Deportiva to participate in the event, which commemorates National Organ and Tissue Donation and Transplant Day.

During the activity, officials emphasized the importance of expressing the desire to be a donor during one's lifetime and communicating that decision to family members. The event also included health services such as vaccinations, screenings for diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and HIV, as well as nutritional counseling.
