Sector 6 authorities address complaints over abandoned vehicles

Residents of Sector 6 in Bucharest have criticized local authorities for tolerating vehicles parked on sidewalks. In response, Sector 6 City Hall stated that while they have identified 1,164 abandoned or ownerless vehicles, they can only issue removal orders for 44 of them at this time.

The municipality explained that current legislation requires a minimum six-month waiting period following owner notification before a vehicle can be removed. The authority noted that they remove approximately 250 such vehicles annually to free up public spaces.
