Securitize cleared by SEC, moves toward NYSE listing via SPAC merger
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission declared the Form S‑4 registration for Securitize’s proposed merger with Cantor Equity Partners II effective, clearing the way for a shareholder vote on June 29. If approved, the combined entity will trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker SECZ, becoming one of the first major token‑infrastructure firms to list publicly.
Securitize reports more than $4 billion in tokenized real‑world assets and partnerships with firms such as BlackRock, Apollo, KKR and VanEck. The company has recently collaborated with the NYSE on tokenized securities infrastructure and with Computershare to enable issuer‑sponsored tokenized shares, signaling broader institutional interest in blockchain‑based securities.
