Securitize cleared for NYSE debut after shareholder approval of SPAC merger

Shareholders of Cantor Equity Partners II (NYSE: CEPT) approved the proposed merger with blockchain token‑platform Securitize, removing the final regulatory hurdle for the company’s public listing. The transaction is expected to close on Wednesday, after which the combined entity will begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday under the ticker SECZ. Shares of the SPAC rose up to 20% on the news.

Securitize, founded in 2017 and backed by investors such as BlackRock and ARK Invest, provides infrastructure for issuing blockchain‑based versions of real‑world assets, serving managers including BlackRock, Apollo, KKR and VanEck. Analysts project the tokenized‑asset market could reach $5.5 trillion by 2030, positioning the NYSE debut as a milestone for the emerging tokenization sector.
