Securitize lists on NYSE, tokenizes its shares on Solana and Avalanche

Securitize, a tokenization platform backed by BlackRock and Morgan Stanley, debuted on the New York Stock Exchange on July 2, 2026 under the ticker SECZ. On the same day it issued tokenized versions of its Class A common stock on the Solana and Avalanche blockchains, representing roughly $295 million of its equity—the largest issuer‑sponsored tokenized stock to date. The tokens correspond to the same ordinary shares traded on the NYSE, not a separate class, and are available to eligible U.S. investors through Securitize’s regulated platform.

The dual‑chain launch signals a shift toward issuer‑controlled tokenized securities, offering 24/7 ownership transfer while preserving existing legal rights and transfer restrictions. Securitize’s shares rose more than 10 % in their first trading session, underscoring market interest in the convergence of traditional equity markets and blockchain technology. The event highlights growing institutional confidence in real‑world asset tokenization, a sector projected to reach trillions of dollars in value in the coming decade.
