Security drills and anti‑sabotage checks intensify ahead of 2026 Amarnath pilgrimage in J&K

Security agencies in Jammu & Kashmir conducted mock drills at base camps in Anantnag and Ganderbal districts to test emergency response capabilities and strengthen inter‑agency coordination ahead of the 2026 Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.

Police in Anantnag also launched extensive anti‑sabotage checks along the pilgrimage route, deploying K9 units, bomb‑detection teams, technical surveillance and vehicle inspections at transit points, railway infrastructure and other vulnerable locations, and urged the public to remain vigilant.
