Security forces conduct raids and investigate crime in Jammu and Kashmir

Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir have conducted significant operations targeting crime and terrorism. In Poonch, a joint raid involving police, forensic experts, and an executive magistrate at a jewelry shop led to the seizure of AK-47 ammunition, Pakistani currency, posters, and flags. The raid took place at a shop owned by Davinder Singh in the main market.

In a separate incident in Jammu, a 35-year-old newspaper hawker named Deepak Sharma was shot and killed by an unidentified assailant inside his home in Reshimgarh Colony. Police have registered an FIR and are investigating the circumstances of the shooting.

These events occur amid heightened security measures in the region. Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat has been reviewing anti-terrorism operations in the Pir Panjal area, while authorities continue to target financial networks and logistical support linked to cross-border terrorism.
