Goiás motorcycle accident kills security for Virginia Fonseca and wife
A fatal motorcycle accident on the BR-060 highway near Guapó, Goiás, claimed the lives of Rogério Camilo Ramos, 53, and his wife, Paulla Regina Rodarte, 43, on Sunday morning.
Rogério, a retired Goiás Military Police lieutenant and personal security for digital influencer Virginia Fonseca, was piloting a Triumph Street Triple RS as part of a group of motorcyclists. The accident occurred when the vehicle hit a dip in the road, causing the driver to lose control and collide with a tree. Rogério died at the scene, while Paulla succumbed to cardiorespiratory arrest during resuscitation efforts by emergency teams.
The couple also served as pastors at the Viver em Cristo Church in Goiânia. They leave behind a 12-year-old daughter. Virginia Fonseca expressed her grief on social media, describing Rogério as a “safe harbor” for her family and pledging to support the couple's daughter.
Authorities from the Rota Verde Goiás concessionaire and the Federal Highway Police attended the scene. Forensic experts are investigating the exact dynamics of the crash, noting that the regulated speed for the area is 80 km/h.
