Fatal motorcycle accident in Goiás

Overview

A fatal motorcycle accident occurred on the BR-060 highway in Goiás, Brazil, resulting in the deaths of Rogério Camilo Ramos, 53, and his wife, Paulla Regina Rodarte, 43.

Mr. Ramos, a retired Lieutenant of the Goiás Military Police and personal security for digital influencer Virginia Fonseca, was riding a Triumph Street Triple RS with a group of motorcyclists when his vehicle hit a dip in the road near the Guapó exit. The impact caused him to lose control and collide with a tree. While Mr. Ramos died at the scene, Paulla Regina Rodarte succumbed to cardiorespiratory arrest during resuscitation efforts by the Fire Department and Rota Verde responders.

In addition to their security and community roles, the couple served as pastors at the Viver em Cristo Church in Goiânia. Virginia Fonseca shared her grief on social media, referring to Ramos as a ‘safe harbor’ for her family and pledging support for the couple’s 12-year-old daughter.

Authorities from the Federal Highway Police and Rota Verde Goiás attended the scene. Forensic experts are currently investigating the exact dynamics of the crash, noting that the regulated speed for the area is 80 km/h.
