SEDEA provides 11.5 tons of bee supplements in Sierra Gorda

The Querétaro Secretariat of Agricultural Development (SEDEA) has distributed 11.5 tons of nutritional supplements to 70 beekeepers in the Sierra Gorda region. The emergency aid targets producers in the municipalities of Landa de Matamoros, Jalpan de Serra, Pinal de Amoles, and Arroyo Seco.

Secretary Rosendo Anaya Aguilar stated that the program is designed to assist producers working under seasonal conditions who have been impacted by natural factors. The goal is to provide the necessary inputs to maintain honey production despite environmental challenges.

Alma Flores, representing the Sierra Gorda Beekeeping Association, noted that previous droughts had dried out fields and corn crops, which reduced the availability of pollen for the bees. She expressed gratitude for the continued support provided by the state government.
