SEDEA provides feed and fingerlings to Querétaro aquaculture producers
The Secretariat of Agricultural Development (SEDEA) has provided support to tilapia farmers in the Sierra region of Querétaro. Rosendo Anaya Aguilar, the Secretary of Agricultural Development, delivered 5.7 tons of feed and 14,000 fingerlings to 36 producers across Jalpan, Arroyo Seco, and Pinal de Amoles.
This initiative aims to boost regional aquaculture productivity and support family livelihoods, as much of the production is used for both self-consumption and commercial sale. Local producers noted that the support helps mitigate the impact of adverse weather conditions on fish farming and pond production.
