SEDIF conducts community welfare program in Puebla
The State System for Integral Family Development (SEDIF), led by Board President Ceci Arellano, conducted the ‘Jornada Integral Por Amor a las Familias’ at the Parque Ecológico in Puebla. The initiative aims to improve community welfare and provide direct support to residents of the capital, particularly in micro-region 16.
During the event, SEDIF Director General Carlos Ochoa Rodríguez and State Welfare Head Laura Artemisa García Chávez oversaw the distribution of 7,775 food pantries to 2,345 beneficiaries. This effort, totaling an investment of over 3.4 million pesos, was facilitated through food assistance programs for vulnerable populations and early childhood nutrition.
Additionally, the state provided 286,438 pesos for seven community projects, including six CAIC centers and one breakfast room. The event also offered various health services, such as medical, dental, optometry, nutrition, and psychological care, alongside free preparatory studies for cataract and pterygium surgeries.
