Seeheim-Jugenheim: Fraudsters pose as bank staff to steal card from elderly woman

In Seeheim-Jugenheim, Germany, fraudsters posing as bank employees successfully stole a bank card from an 85-year-old woman on September 24. The incident began with a telephone call where the perpetrators used a pretext to convince the victim that her card was needed.

Around 1:00 PM, an unidentified woman arrived at the victim's door in the Beethovenring area and demanded the card. After obtaining the card, the suspect fled in an unknown direction. The suspect is described as a slender woman, approximately 20 to 30 years old, between 1.50 and 1.60 meters tall, with shoulder-length black hair, wearing dark clothing.

The Darmstadt Criminal Police are seeking information regarding the incident and have issued a warning to the public. Authorities emphasized that legitimate bank employees will never request PINs, TAN numbers, or sensitive data over the phone, nor will they ever collect bank cards at a person's home address.
