SEGA reveals Japan map for Crazy Taxi: World Tour
SEGA has unveiled a new Japan-based map for the upcoming game Crazy Taxi: World Tour during the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2026 broadcast. The Japan setting will be the third of five locations featured in the single-player World Tour story campaign.
The map is designed to blend modern urban environments, such as skyscrapers and expressways, with historic neighborhoods. To enhance the setting's authenticity, the game will integrate real-world Japanese brands, including ICHIRAN, Kani Doraku, and SHIBUYA109.
The game's narrative follows the character Axel as he attempts to recover his stolen taxi from an international group of car thieves. Beyond standard passenger transport, players can engage in side missions like pizza delivery and stunt challenges. Crazy Taxi: World Tour is scheduled for a 2027 release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
