SEGAS announces 2027 athletics competition calendar

The Hellenic Amateur Athletic Association (SEGAS) has released the core framework for the 2027 athletics calendar, featuring a robust schedule for both indoor and outdoor track and field.

The season is set to begin in winter with the return of the U20 National Indoor Championship, scheduled for January 30-31 at the Paiania Indoor Stadium. Other key events include the Spring Games, which coincide with the European Team Championships, and the Balkan Championships for seniors and juniors, which will be hosted in Volos on June 26-27.

The National Outdoor Championship for seniors is slated for July 31 – August 1, with the host city to be announced. Additionally, the timing of the National Indoor Championship for seniors remains dependent on the Balkan Union's scheduling; if requests for window adjustments are denied, the event will likely take place on February 20-21.
