Segrià region hosts total solar eclipse observation events

The Segrià region in Lleida, Spain, is a privileged location for observing a total solar eclipse. The astronomical phenomenon is expected to occur between 19:15 and 20:45, with totality projected around 20:29.

Various municipalities within the region have organized community observation points. Locations include Aitona, Alcolet, Almenar, Benavent de Segrià, Corbins, La Granja d’Escarp, Lleida, Maials, Massalcoreig, Montoliu de Lleida, Sarroca de Lleida, Seròs, and Torres de Segre. While many events are free of charge and do not require reservations, some locations, such as Llardecans and La Granja d’Escarp, may require prior booking.

This solar eclipse is a rare event for the region; the next total solar eclipse visible from this location will not occur until November 17, 2180.
