Seiya Suzuki hits 20th home run, marking fourth consecutive 20-HR season

Chicago Cubs outfielder Seiya Suzuki hit his 20th home run of the season during a game against the Washington Nationals, marking his fourth consecutive season reaching the 20-home run milestone. He is the second Japanese player to achieve this feat, following Shohei Ohtani, and is the first Japanese right-handed batter to do so.

Suzuki’s solo home run came in the eighth inning off a slider. His performance contributed to the Cubs' 8-6 comeback victory. In the same game, Cubs pitcher Shota Imanaga struggled, allowing three home runs and four runs over 4.2 innings, resulting in no decision.

Suzuki joins Shohei Ohtani, Kazuma Okamoto, and Munetaka Murakami as the fourth Japanese player to reach 20 home runs this season.
