Sekolah Rakyat program receives positive public response in survey

A survey conducted by Media Survei Nasional (Median) indicates that the Sekolah Rakyat program has received a positive response from the public. According to the results, 56.1 percent of respondents expressed satisfaction, consisting of 18 percent who are very satisfied and 38.1 percent who are sufficiently satisfied.

Key drivers for this satisfaction include the program providing free schooling for the underprivileged (12 percent), assisting low-income communities (8.9 percent), providing access to decent education (6.9 percent), making education more affordable and equitable (6.4 percent), and helping to reduce school dropout rates (2 percent).

Despite the positive reception, Median Executive Director Rico Marbun noted that there is still work to be done regarding public awareness. The survey found that only 61.7 percent of respondents were aware of the Sekolah Rakyat program, while 38.3 percent were unaware.
