Selangor attracts RM3 billion in investment and launches robotics hub

Selangor is advancing its industrial and technological landscape through significant new investments and strategic partnerships. UOB Malaysia and Invest Selangor Berhad have secured over RM3 billion in investments for the state, targeting sectors such as digital infrastructure, life sciences, advanced manufacturing, and new energy.

Key contributors to this investment include Galaxy DC Pte Ltd, focusing on AI-centric hyperscale data center infrastructure; Shenghui Biotechnology (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, which plans to develop large-scale corn processing and specialty ingredient production; Wuxi Weifu Environmental Catalysts Co Ltd, supporting the new energy vehicle ecosystem; and XTC New Energy Materials (Xiamen) Co Ltd, a producer of advanced battery materials.

In a separate initiative, the Selangor Information Technology & Digital Economy Corp (Sidec) has partnered with NCT World Sdn Bhd to establish a robotics manufacturing ecosystem at the NCT Smart Industrial Park in Sepang. This project aims to be the first of its kind in Southeast Asia. The collaboration seeks to develop 10 high-value technology companies with a combined valuation of RM30 billion by 2030, building upon the state’s existing semiconductor and AI-focused initiatives.
