Selman Alkan missing in Istanbul after leaving note and cash

In the Sultangazi district of Istanbul, a man named Selman Alkan has been missing for six days after leaving his home with a note and a sum of money. The note instructed his relatives to ‘take the belongings and empty the house’ and stated that he would not be returning, leaving 108,000 Turkish Lira to cover moving and similar expenses.

Following the discovery of the note, Alkan's family and local residents initiated their own search efforts in the Gazi Forest and surrounding areas. While the family has notified the police and judicial authorities, they noted that support from AFAD has not yet been deployed due to high workloads. The search continues as relatives attempt to locate him.
