Selton Mello, Maria Fernanda Candid win top awards at Gramado Film Festival

At the 54th Gramado Film Festival in Brazil, veteran actor Selton Mello and actress Maria Fernanda Candid were each presented with the Kikito de Cristal, marking the first time two artists have shared the top prize in the same edition. Mello was honored for his decades‑long career across television and cinema, while Candid was recognized for her work in film, TV and theater.

Mello also served as executive producer and cast member of “La perra,” a Chilean‑directed film selected for the festival’s closing session. The event also announced its competition line‑up for feature documentaries, regional films and short‑film categories, alongside the 10th Gramado Film Market for industry networking.
