SENA Córdoba acting director defends appointment against political claims

Tatiana Angélica López Padilla, the acting director of the National Training Service (SENA) in the Córdoba region, has issued a statement defending her appointment against allegations of political affiliation. López Padilla denied having any ties to political parties or the previous national administration, describing the criticisms as “mean-spirited and unfortunate comments” intended to create intrigue.

López Padilla stated that her selection was based on her 11-year career within SENA, having served as an instructor since 2019 and in previous periods between 2016 and 2018. Her professional background also includes roles in the private construction sector and positions as a department secretary in the municipalities of Cereté and San Pelayo.

Her designation as acting director was formalized through Resolution 1-03041 of 2026, covering an initial period from September 14 to December 14 while a permanent appointment is determined. She expressed gratitude to the national government for the opportunity to serve and reaffirmed her commitment to the institution's mission.
