SENA strengthens professional training and employment services in Colombia

The National Learning Service (SENA) is maintaining its role as a key institution for professional training and employment in Colombia. In the Santander region, the agency reports it has the capacity to meet the demands of companies, workers, and entrepreneurs, supported by a national budget exceeding 8 trillion pesos.

SENA continues to offer technical training, technological updates, and entrepreneurship support, including seed capital. The institution also maintains special labor contracts for apprentices despite potential government changes. Additionally, the agency serves as a collection center for donations to assist victims of recent earthquakes in Colombia.

To assist with career planning, SENA provides a virtual interactive vocational orientation test. This tool helps users identify their strengths and competencies, offering program suggestions through the Sofía Plus platform to help individuals align their interests with professional training.
