Senace approves US$187 million in sustainable investments for Ucayali
Senace, through the Ministry of Environment, has approved 28 files representing US$187 million in sustainable investments aimed at fostering growth in the Ucayali region of Peru.
Key approvals include detailed environmental impact studies for the Aguaytía–Pucallpa 138 kV Transmission Line (Second Circuit) and Lot 131. Additionally, the agency approved a modification to the environmental impact study for Lot 31-C and 11 Technical Sustaining Reports for technological improvements with non-significant environmental impacts.
As part of the evaluation process, Senace conducted 37 workshops and public hearings with over 2,200 attendees to gather local input. The agency also held technical meetings with regional government officials to strengthen environmental certification capacities and coordinate investment project classifications.
