Brazil expands free vocational training programs with thousands of new spots
State and federal agencies across Brazil have opened enrollment for a wide range of free professional courses. São Paulo’s Qualifica SP program offers 1,690 seats in areas such as logistics, administration and IT, while the SESC EAD EJA initiative in Pará provides 80 free high‑school‑completion slots with a marketing assistant qualification. In Bahia, the SENAI program lists 380 free apprenticeships in industrial trades, and the Amazonas Cetam platform has 25,900 places in 26 online courses covering AI, Python, design and sustainability. Other offerings include 50 free electrician courses in Mato Grosso do Sul, 100 AI‑education seats at the Federal Institute of Acre, 150 free public‑administration degrees at the Federal University of Uberlândia, and dozens of short courses in Bragança Paulo, Guarulhos and other municipalities. Eligibility generally targets youths and adults aged 15‑35 (or up to 59 for some programs), with requirements such as basic education completion and residence in the state. Applications are online, free of charge, and the enrollment periods close in mid‑July.
These initiatives aim to improve employability, support economic development and provide technical skills to tens of thousands of Brazilian citizens.
