Senator Jon Ossoff spends more campaign funds on makeup than AOC and Tlaib

Senator Jon Ossoff (D‑GA) has paid Atlanta‑based makeup artist Stephanie Ponder a total of $2,887 for "makeup services" since February, according to campaign finance records. That amount exceeds the spending reported by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio‑Cortez (D‑NY), who spent $1,837.93 on hair and makeup services, and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D‑MI), who spent $320.

Ossoff’s payments include $1,087.33 made nine days after an April 18 rally in Augusta and $900 paid ten days after a May 31 rally in Atlanta. He is seeking reelection against Republican Rep. Mike Collins. Neither Ossoff nor Ponder responded to requests for comment. The spending has been noted as part of broader discussion of Ossoff’s public image and potential 2028 presidential candidacy.
