Santa Fe advances ‘Preguntá por Ángela’ safety protocol
The Santa Fe Chamber of Deputies has granted partial approval to the ‘Preguntá por Ángela’ project, a legislative initiative proposed by Deputy Rosana Bellatti. The project establishes a safety protocol for women in nightlife venues. Under this system, a woman feeling at risk can ask staff if ‘Ángela’ is present, triggering a discreet assistance and protection mechanism to ensure a safe exit. The proposal includes staff training, municipal coordination, and a ‘Safe Seal’ for participating establishments.
In other regional developments, Senator Nerina Neumann has requested emergency funds to rebuild lifeguard infrastructure in Buenos Aires province following severe weather damage. In Corrientes, Deputy Marlen Gauna has proposed unifying national and provincial elections to reduce logistical costs. Meanwhile, in Necochea, the local executive has announced vetoes against certain municipal council initiatives regarding security and vehicle attendants. Additionally, local officials in Balcarce are proposing a municipal registry for therapeutic companions to support mental health services.
