Sence launches employment fairs and civic council renewal in Chile
The National Training and Employment Service (Sence) has launched several initiatives to promote civic participation and employment in Chile. In the Ñuble region, the agency has begun the registration and election process for its Civil Society Council (COSOC) for the 2026-2028 period. This consultative and autonomous body aims to include diverse representatives from non-profit associations, unions, and educational institutions to help shape public policies regarding training and labor intermediation.
Simultaneously, Sence is conducting a series of labor fairs across the La Araucanía region, including the Malleco province. Scheduled throughout October and November, these fairs aim to connect job seekers directly with companies to facilitate formal employment. The program includes 17 regional fairs coordinated with Municipal Labor Information Offices (Omil), as well as a major regional event organized in partnership with the Universidad Católica de Temuco.
