Senegal Ministry holds economic consultations in Saint-Louis
The Senegalese Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Planning organized a two-day territorial consultation in Saint-Louis on October 20 and 21. The event brought together strategic companies from the North Pole region to identify obstacles to private investment and develop solutions to boost local competitiveness.
Part of the National Strategy for Private Sector Development and Investment Promotion 2025-2029, the discussions focused on supporting the ‘Vision Senegal 2050’ initiative. Key sectors targeted for development include rice, tourism, and onions. Authorities also emphasized the importance of ensuring local businesses can access opportunities within the hydrocarbon and gas exploitation value chains.
The consultations aim to transform feedback from economic actors into an operational action plan to improve the regional business environment and stimulate job creation.
