Senegal Police Bust Major Kush Trafficking Network in Diamniadio

On 20 July 2026, the Regional Narcotics Brigade (BRS) of Dakar, under the Office of Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime (OCRTIS), carried out a night‑time operation in the Sante Yalla neighbourhood of Diamniadio, Senegal. The raid resulted in the arrest of two foreign nationals suspected of managing a large-scale distribution network. Searches uncovered 3,110 kg of Kush, including 3 kg in bulk, and 1 kg of Indian hemp, along with packaging equipment and solvents. The suspects were placed in custody on charges of criminal association and drug possession for trafficking. Police continue the investigation and have urged the public to provide information via a free hotline.

The operation, based on actionable intelligence about a storage and redistribution point, involved covert surveillance, a planned interception of a delivery, and subsequent searches of the suspects' residences, which yielded additional drug packs and evidentiary material.
