Chad and Senegal launch new digital and policy initiatives
In Chad, the Ministry of Youth and Sports has launched MJS CONNECT, a digital platform designed to modernize the relationship between the administration and youth and sports organizations. Led by Minister Naïr Abakar, the tool aims to create a national directory of associations, federations, and NGOs to better map their activities, geographic reach, and results across all provinces, moving beyond a focus on the capital, N’Djamena.
In Senegal, Justice Minister Moussa Sarr has established a National Committee for Criminal Policy. This consultative body is tasked with updating the 2019 general criminal policy directive to address modern crime trends. The committee will analyze criminal patterns, prison management constraints, and alternatives to prosecution, involving diverse stakeholders including the Supreme Court, the Bar Association, and civil society.
