Senegalese political figures join Kiiraay party

Several political figures in Senegal have announced their alignment with the Kiiraay party.

Babacar Thiam, leader of the Passy D’Abord movement, has officially left Pastef to join Kiiraay. Thiam stated that the decision followed unsuccessful attempts to alert Pastef leadership regarding local management issues and alleged scandals in the Passy municipality. He emphasized that the move was a collective decision made after consulting with his militants to address concerns regarding education, infrastructure, and youth employment.

Additionally, Atoumane Sy, the Director General of the National Agency for Land Planning and Rural Equipment (Anaser), announced his political engagement with Kiiraay in Goudiry. Sy expressed his intention to support President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, citing a desire to serve the public interest and contribute to the country's development through the values of patriotism and republicanism.
