Senegal's Serigne Modou Kara urges unity and restraint amid UN candidacy debate

Serigne Modou Kara, a senior religious figure, appeared on the TFM programme "Farram faccé" where he praised President Macky Sall’s candidacy for United Nations Secretary‑General and called for national unity, respect for institutions and a pan‑African vision for Senegal.

In a later interview on the same show, Kara addressed the controversy surrounding Pape Cheikh Diallo, urging Senegalese citizens and public figures to show greater restraint and empathy in political debates.
