Senigallia Hospital Receives Donated Ultrasound for Intensive Care

The anesthesia and intensive‑care department of the Principe di Piemonte Hospital in Senigallia, Italy, has been equipped with a new ultrasound machine donated by the Fondazione Leopoldo Uccellini. The hand‑over ceremony was attended by the health directorate of AST Ancona, the hospital’s medical direction, local officials including the bishop and mayor, and representatives of the foundation.

The equipment was purchased with funds raised at a charity gala held on 31 March at Palazzo Leopoldo Uccellini, with support from regional businesses and private donors. Dr. Cristina Scala, head of the unit, highlighted that the device will improve diagnostic precision in intensive care, anesthesia, pain therapy and vascular access, raising safety standards for patients.
