Senior citizens celebrate European Senior Day in Poland

Local branches of the Polish Association of Retirees, Pensioners and Disabled Persons (PZERiI) held celebrations to mark European Senior Day in Pleszew and Radomsko.

In Pleszew, the regional branch, which consists of 1,035 members across eight circles, organized an event attended by local officials, including Pleszew Starost Maciej Wasielewski and Deputy Mayor Andrzej Jędruszek. The gathering focused on highlighting the needs of the elderly and promoting active lifestyles through cultural, artistic, and sporting activities.

In Radomsko, the local association celebrated its 66th anniversary alongside European Senior Day. Operating since 1960, the organization hosted a jubilee meeting attended by parliamentary and local government representatives, as well as cultural institutions, to commemorate decades of community support, integration, and social participation for seniors.
