Poland launches various social and cultural initiatives for seniors

Various local and national initiatives across Poland are focusing on the social integration, health, and education of senior citizens.

In Wrocław, the 17th edition of Senior Days features over 150 events, including concerts, workshops, and health screenings. Similarly, the Opera na Zamku in Szczecin is participating in the national ‘Weekend of Culture for Seniors’ by offering discounted tickets to Mozart’s ‘Così fan tutte’.

On a national level, the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) is launching the ‘Senior says: I CHECK’ campaign throughout October to combat disinformation and fraud. Other regional efforts include mental health conferences in Podkarpackie, the ‘Most Pokoleń’ project in Kraśnik, and various community-led activities in cities like Poznań, Jaworzno, and Świnoujście. These programs range from digital literacy and safety workshops to physical activities like Nordic walking and dance classes.
