Senior Italian police and Carabinieri officers retire in Frosinone and Reggio Emilia

Lieutenant Fernando Ricci and senior Carabinieri officer Tonino Datti were honoured in a ceremony at the Provincial Carabinieri Command in Frosinone as they concluded 37 and 36 years of service respectively. Their careers included investigative work in Campania, Naples and the Frosinone operational unit, and both received the Silver and Gold Crosses for long service.

In Reggio Emilia, the police headquarters marked the retirement of Superintendent Paolo Fortesini and Division Anticrimine chief Eleonora Nicolì. Fortesini, a career officer since 1987, spent more than two decades with the Digos anti‑terrorism unit and later protected high‑profile national and foreign dignitaries. Nicolì, who joined the force in 1991, rose to the rank of first director, overseeing public‑order duties at major sporting events and concerts. Both ceremonies featured speeches from senior officials celebrating their decades of dedication to public safety.
