Seongnam City announces youth job fair and expanded worker welfare

Seongnam City is implementing several initiatives to support local youth and care workers. On the 17th, the city will host the ‘2026 Seongnam Youth Job Fair’ at the Seongnam Comprehensive Sports Center. The event features 30 companies, including Commax and Hansol Life Science, aiming to recruit 142 individuals for roles such as engineers, researchers, and designers. The fair will also include job consultations, AI-assisted resume photo services, and a talk concert.

Additionally, Seongnam City is expanding welfare benefits for long-term care workers. Starting in January, monthly welfare allowances of 70,000 KRW will be extended to workers in home-based long-term care institutions. This expansion increases the number of supported workers from 2,257 to 3,305. The city has planned a budget of approximately 2.86 billion KRW to support these improvements.

To enhance child safety, the city is also conducting child abuse prevention training for 200 workers from childcare and community centers, focusing on identifying signs of abuse and reporting procedures.
