Seoul and Yongin initiatives support K-brand global expansion
Various initiatives in South Korea are facilitating the global market entry of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through creator networking and export consultations.
In Seoul, the Seoul Business Agency (SBA) hosted the third annual ‘SEOUL VIBE 2026’ networking event in Seongsu-dong. The event brought together approximately 700 global creators and business representatives to explore international opportunities for K-brands, particularly in K-beauty. In collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM Korea), the program aims to establish a foothold for Seoul SMEs in the North American market.
Simultaneously, the Yongin Industry Promotion Agency, in partnership with KOTRA, held the ‘2026 Yongin Special City Global Export Consultation’. The event featured 36 local companies specializing in cosmetics, beauty devices, food, and pet supplies. Through 78 customized one-on-one sessions with buyers from the United States, Canada, and China, the consultation resulted in $2.58 million in export discussions and approximately $1.09 million in potential contracts.
