Seoul authorities launch youth employment and AI literacy initiatives

Seoul-based authorities are implementing new initiatives to support youth employment and technological literacy. In Jung-gu, the district office has entered into a formal agreement with Dongguk University, Soongui Women's University, and Jeonghwa Arts University to strengthen job support systems. This partnership aims to provide customized education, internships, and job matching by aligning university curricula with industry needs. A joint 'Youth Job Concert' is scheduled for September to offer mentoring from industry professionals.

Separately, the G3 Seoul Planning Committee held a policy meeting to discuss the 'Youth AI Ladder' initiative. This program seeks to prevent an 'AI divide' by providing access to generative AI tools, establishing AI lounges near universities, and creating talent growth courses. The committee also discussed revitalizing university commercial districts through a collaborative model involving the city, universities, and local merchants to create a sustainable ecosystem for youth growth and local economic activity.
