Seoul hosts 2026 Disabled Sports Festival for all 25 districts

The 2026 Seoul Disabled Sports Festival was held at the Seoul National University Comprehensive Gymnasium, bringing together approximately 3,500 participants, including 2,500 athletes from all 25 autonomous districts of Seoul, staff, and supporters.

The event featured 19 different disciplines categorized into club sports, harmony sports, and experience sports. Club sports included boccia, indoor rowing, and park golf, while harmony sports featured activities like tug-of-war and floor curling. The Korea Sport Stacking Association also participated, operating an experience booth to promote sports stacking as a way to improve disability awareness and foster social integration.

This year's competition marked a significant milestone as it was the first time all 25 districts in Seoul had established their own disabled sports associations, allowing for full representation. Officials emphasized that the event aims to expand opportunities for disabled citizens to participate in sports and to create an inclusive environment where everyone can enjoy physical activities regardless of disability.
