Separate traffic accidents reported in France

Two distinct traffic incidents have been reported in France. In Haute-Saône, a 54-year-old driver was seriously injured on Friday, October 23, after losing control of his vehicle on the RN 19 near Pomoy. The vehicle struck road signs and markers before overturning. Witnesses noted the driver had been involved in a minor collision in Genevreuille shortly before the violent crash. An investigation by the Lure gendarmes is underway, with toxicology results pending.

In Oise, a fatal accident occurred on Thursday, October 22, on the D1324 road connecting Senlis and Crépy-en-Valois. A 42-year-old woman was killed while walking along the roadside. The driver involved, a British national, was briefly taken into custody. The prosecutor of Senlis, Loïc Abrial, stated that the driver's custody was temporarily lifted to allow for preliminary investigations, noting the individual has guarantees of representation. Local officials have previously highlighted the dangerous nature of this road and the lack of continuous pedestrian and cyclist paths.
