Separate traffic accidents reported in Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul

Two distinct traffic accidents occurred in Brazil on Friday night. In Alta Floresta, Mato Grosso, a 54-year-old woman was injured when a white Chevrolet Onix struck the rear of her motorcycle on the MT-208 highway. The driver of the car fled the scene before police arrived. Authorities later located and seized the vehicle, which showed damage consistent with the collision. The victim was treated for abrasions at the Alta Floresta State Hospital.

In Dourados, Mato Grosso do Sul, a 38-year-old motorcyclist, Letícia da Silva Machuca, died following an accident in the Izidro Pedroso neighborhood. While navigating a speed bump, the rider lost control, struck a trash bin, and collided with a tree. Despite receiving emergency medical assistance and resuscitation attempts at the Hospital da Vida, she succumbed to her injuries. Local authorities have registered the incident as a traffic accident caused by the rider's own loss of control.
