Seplat Energy and NEPL JV inaugurate STEAM labs in Delta State

The NNPC Exploration and Production Limited (NEPL) and Seplat Energy Joint Venture (JV) has inaugurated two fully equipped Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) laboratories in Delta State, Nigeria. The facilities are located at Asagba Mixed Secondary School and Zappa Basic Secondary School in Asaba.

As part of the initiative, the Joint Venture also provided training to 500 teachers across Delta State in contemporary STEAM-based teaching methods. The project aims to move beyond theoretical instruction toward practical, student-centered learning, allowing students to experiment, design, and test ideas to solve real-life problems.

Representatives from Seplat Energy stated that these laboratories represent a strategic investment in the future generation. Delta State officials commended the partnership for its sustained investment in the state's educational sector.
