SEPTA investigates man clinging to moving Philadelphia train

SEPTA has launched an investigation into a man seen clinging to the exterior of a moving L train in Philadelphia. Viral footage captured by passengers shows the individual, wearing a Hawaiian shirt and a single earphone, crouching and swaying while holding onto the back of the train as it traveled between the 40th Street and 46th Street stations.

SEPTA police captain Marc Pasquarella described the stunt as “insane” and “extremely dangerous,” expressing concern that the video, which has garnered millions of views, could inspire copycat incidents. While the exact date of the occurrence is unclear, a SEPTA spokesperson stated that no injuries were reported.

Authorities have issued warnings regarding the lethal risks of subway surfing, including fatal falls and electrocution. Investigators are currently working to identify the man featured in the video.
