Serbia advances infrastructure through new tech park and border modernization
Serbia is advancing several major infrastructure and economic development projects. In Inđija, the municipal assembly has approved the construction of a modern technological park spanning over 300 hectares. This project is a collaboration between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Chinese company Mint. The new zone will include complete infrastructure, such as roads, water supply, sewage, and electrical networks, to attract new investors and create jobs.
Simultaneously, a strategic project to modernize the Bački Breg – Santo border crossing between Serbia and Hungary has been presented in Novi Sad. Valued at over 3 million euros, the project is co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg VI-A IPA Hungary – Serbia program. The modernization aims to increase capacity and improve the flow of passengers and goods. The Serbian side will see the construction of a passenger terminal and a complete freight terminal, with completion expected by April 2028.
