Bečej Museum Receives 20 Million Dinar Funding for Renovation

Serbia's Ministry of Culture approved a grant of 20 million dinars for the municipality of Bečej to renovate the roof and intermediate‑floor structures of the local museum, known as the Rural Museum. The funding is part of the "Cities in Focus 2026" competition aimed at upgrading cultural infrastructure.

The ministry noted that over the past four years it has invested more than 31 million dinars in Bečej, with 21.9 million earmarked for 2026. Officials said the allocated amount does not cover the full estimated cost of around 35 million dinars, and the municipality will seek additional financing from the provincial government and cultural secretariat to complete the project.
